Cancer Caregiver Training Workshop

Cancer caregiving is more than helping with appointments or daily tasks. It also means offering emotional support, preparing suitable meals, encouraging healthy habits, and caring for your loved one throughout their colorectal cancer journey. While caregiving is rewarding, it can also feel overwhelming. Many caregivers are unsure how to manage changing physical, emotional, and practical needs.

Our Cancer Caregiver Training workshop gives caregivers the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to provide better care. Whether your loved one has recently been diagnosed, is receiving treatment, or is recovering, you’ll learn practical ways to support them every step of the way.

During the workshop, healthcare professionals will cover three important topics:

  • Emotional Needs – Learn how to communicate with empathy, provide emotional support, recognise signs of caregiver stress, and build resilience for yourself and your loved one.
  • Nutrition and Diet – Understand the dietary needs of people with colorectal cancer. Discover practical meal planning tips and learn how nutrition can support treatment and recovery.
  • Physical Wellness – Explore safe ways to encourage movement, manage fatigue, and support physical recovery through appropriate activity.

You’ll also meet other caregivers who understand what you’re going through. Share experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another in a welcoming and supportive environment. These conversations can help you feel more confident and less alone in your caregiving journey.

At 365 Cancer Prevention Society and Strong Olive, we believe caregivers deserve support too. When caregivers feel informed and supported, they can provide better care while protecting their own physical and emotional well-being.

Looking for more support? Explore our Cancer Support Services and other caregiver resources to help you continue your caregiving journey with confidence.

Join this free workshop to gain practical knowledge, connect with other caregivers, and learn how to support your loved one while caring for yourself.
