The Walking Club

Step outdoors, get moving, and connect with others. Designed for young adult cancer survivors and members of the Strong Olive community, this programme offers a welcoming space to enjoy gentle physical activity, meaningful conversations, and supportive friendships.

Why Join the Walking Club?

This programme is more than just a stroll. It provides an opportunity to meet others who understand the unique challenges of the cancer journey while embracing the benefits of movement and social connection. Whether you are looking to improve your well-being, expand your support network, or simply enjoy time outdoors, the sessions provide a relaxed and encouraging environment.

Participants can connect with peers who share similar experiences, exchange stories, and build meaningful friendships in a supportive setting. In addition, spending time outdoors can help reduce stress, boost mood, and encourage healthy lifestyle habits.

Benefits of Joining

  • Building friendships and peer support
  • Staying active through light physical activity
  • Reducing stress and improving emotional well-being
  • Connecting with fellow young adult cancer survivors
  • Enjoying Singapore’s parks and outdoor spaces
  • Developing healthy habits through regular movement

What to Expect

Each gathering is designed to be inclusive and accessible. Participants can walk at a comfortable pace while engaging in casual conversations and enjoying the company of others. There is no pressure to achieve a specific distance or fitness goal. Instead, the focus is on connection, community, and well-being.

Whether you are attending for the first time or returning to reconnect with friends, every session offers an opportunity to strengthen relationships and create positive experiences together.

Stay Connected

This initiative is one of the programmes offered by Strong Olive. We encourage participants to explore other programmes, workshops, support groups, and community events organised by 365 Cancer Prevention Society to continue building meaningful connections and personal resilience throughout their survivorship journey.
